Loved the three-course evening meal with complimentary wine. The hotel's traditional stone building and contemporary furnishings were charming, and the breakfast options were extensive. The communal ski lockers were a convenient touch.

Oh, and let's not forget the delightful surprise of dragging my luggage up the stairs with no lifts. Pure joy.

The continental breakfast was fantastic, with a great variety of options including cereal and fruit. The staff, especially Cecelia, were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Despite the small size, the rooms were comfortable and had ample storage space. We felt very safe and secure, and the rooms were surprisingly warm and quiet at night. Don't let the nearby Derby racecourse put you off - it was not a problem at all. The California Grill, in our opinion, offers the best food in town and is a must-visit. We have stayed here before and it has always been satisfactory. The location is very central, just a few steps away from the gondola, sports shop, and restaurant. The staff were extremely helpful and the room had everything we needed. The ski locker was included which was a great bonus. a very positive experience.
